She moved to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue her dream of becoming an actress, and things started looking up for her after she finished university. Ankita made her TV debut in a popular show called Pavitra Rishta, produced by Balaji Telefilms and aired on Zee TV. The show even won awards! After that, she appeared in many other TV programs. Ankita Lokhande always had a passion for acting. After finishing school and university, she left Indore and moved to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She began her television career in 2006 by participating in the talent-hunt reality show Idea Zee Cinestars. Her big break came when she landed a role in Ekta Kapoor’s romantic-drama series Pavitra Rishta. In the show, she played the dual roles of Archana and Ankita, which earned her immense popularity.
In 2011, she participated in dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4. In the same year, she also participated in another reality show Comedy Circus along with Kapil Sharma.
